WordPress has a built-in function to create a gallery. If you need a robust solution there are plugins that work great, but when you need a quick and easy solution to create a simple gallery..here you go.

Refer to The WordPress Gallery for more information (that yes, you really should read).
    Select the insert image icon
    Select images from your computer
As each image is uploaded change the title as needed
    Continue adding images
    Do NOT  “insert into post”
When you’re done, images will appear under the Gallery tab.
Need to rearrange the image order? Simply click on one, hold it, and drag it.
Click the ‘Show’ link by each image if you need to make changes to the title, add a caption, or add a description.
When you’re done with changes, click the “Save all changes” button.
Make your preferred settings to how your gallery will be displayed.
(see above link for explanation of settings)
    Then click “Update gallery settings”.
Your gallery is now inserted on your page.
Here’s your gallery as it appears on your WordPress page.
If you need to edit anything or add more images, just click on it and select the “Edit Gallery” link.
